One Bishopsgate Tower is part of a mix use development One Bishopsgate Plaza (aka 150 Bishopsgate) containing the 5* Pan Pacific Hotel at its base and over 160 luxury, sky apartments built above it.  The City of London, the historic banking district currently employs over 480,000 workers but has only around 7,500 residents due in part to low housing and rental stock available in the Square Mile. 

 

This new 43-storey landmark is anchored right in the very heart of the City - a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, Spitalfields Market, The Gherkin and The Bank of England. Completing in 2021, it will deliver a collection of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom luxury apartments from level 21 and up. Many apartments will afford double aspect views and full-height glazing. There will be top-end, luxury kitchen appliances, high quality natural materials such as hard-wood floors, marble bathrooms, large walk-in wardrobes, and apartments will feature designer fixtures and fittings.  

 

MSMR, a leading residential architecture studio based in Waterloo, London, leads the design for the development’s residential elements  which is  “ inspired by the geometry, patterns and shapes of the PLP-designed tower, as well as the spectacular views across the City. The sequence and proportion of spaces has been thoroughly considered and the selection of materials and finishes provide an elegant design response, appropriate to the context of the City and the way people live their lives.”

Luxury amenities will be provided by the 5* Pan Pacific Hotel (owned by the Singaporean real estate company UOL) located in the same building. The hotel opens in Autumn 2020 and will incorporate a private lounge, bar, library, meeting room, an indoor lap pool with city views, spa and a fitness centre.

 

One Bishopsgate Tower forms part of a striking host of tall City buildings wedged in the restricted corner of Bishopsgate, currently dominated by the sliver clad 230m high Heron Tower (Salesforce Tower). In order to make the tower more prominent, One Bishopsgate will have a contrasting façade clad with bronze louvres in varying configurations.

 

Across the road from the development is Liverpool Street Rail and Underground station with fast connections to Kings Cross & St Pancras (the Eurostar), London City Airport (27mins) and Heathrow (35mins).

 

The development was expected to attract Asian and American buyers familiar with the Pan Pacific brand, as well as domestic buyers.
