London property sales by Chase Evans got off to a very good start this year judging by the increased number of transactions completed in the first two months. Driven by the stamp duty holiday deadlines, a shortage of stock for larger properties and long delayed house moving plans by many new relocating families, the market remained buoyant.

The recently announced ‘road out of lockdown in England’, the steady vaccination progress and falling infection rates in the Capital could only increase investors’ confidence. Therefore, we anticipate more London property transactions to follow in March and April  which is the start of the traditionally busy Spring Market season.  

As already reported by national newspapers, the second budget by Rishi Sunak  due on Wednesday 3 March ’21, may extend the stamp duty holiday tax for an additional three months period. If confirmed and subject to the detail, it will give a chance to many agreed sales to complete and contribute to another dynamic Spring trading calendar.
