York Gardens, London SW11 is a large regeneration scheme in Battersea, Wandsworth, close to Clapham Junction located in London travel zone 2. It borders the well-established Clapham Common and Wandsworth Common villages as well as the new riverside neighbourhood of Battersea Reach.

 

The 26ha large project is part of the Winstanley & York Road Regeneration Joint Venture, a partnership between Taylor Wimpey Central London and Wandsworth Borough Council that is leading the regeneration, which will deliver 2,550 new homes. Built in phases and once completed it will have new mansion blocks and high-rise residential buildings overlooking the park or with views of the river. The development will improve the community infrastructure and deliver a new leisure centre with a large sports hall to accommodate 8 pitches and a 25m swimming pool, communal workspace, library, a medical centre, as well as modern retail space, added plants and trees to the streetscape and a new 2.49ha urban park.

 

Duval House (aka Junction House) is the first new building to receive residents in 2021. There are 93 new apartments in the 20 storey Duval House tower, which is built on an empty site. Duval House provides commercial ground floor space, concierge services, resident’s lounge, bicycle storage and access to a communal roof terrace. Excellent travel connections are available from the nearby Clapham Junction transport hub.

 

The constructions start date for three new buildings along York Road is Q1 2021. This phase comprises two medium rise towers (12 & 14 storeys) linked by a 6-storey mansion block building.
