*London Help to Buy is a scheme provided by the Government launched in February 2016. It applies to new built homes worth £600,000 or less and is available to first time buyers and home movers.

The Government lends up to 40% of the cost of a new London home. The buyers of new built London homes need to raise a deposit of at least 5% and to secure a 55% mortgage to make up the rest.

The scheme was due to end in April 2021, but will now end in March 2023 - a two year extension unveiled in the last Budget of October 2018.
