Re-visiting Dalston and getting to know FiftySevenEast

It’s all change on Kingsland High Street in Dalston. The distinctively shaped, metal clad Fifty Seven East is likely to become Dalston’s new landmark as it towers dominantly above the busy high street and is visible from the far corners of the area.

This East London area is fast changing with new residential homes emerging amongst its Victorian terraces and converted industrial buildings. One such development is Taylor Wimpey’s project Fifty Seven East on Kingsland High Street. This 15-storey block with shops on the ground floor has 83 contemporary designed one, two and three bedroom apartments available to rent this autumn. Fifty Seven East is located immediately adjacent to Dalston Kingsland Overground Station.

Dalston is a thriving north-east multi-cultural community noted for its fringe theatres, vintage shops, quirky cafes, exotic restaurants, late night bars, informal galleries and independent cinemas. The area is located within a short walk of the green spaces of Hackney Downs and London Fields.

FiftySevenEast is only three miles from the City and four miles from central London. There are two Overground rail stations in Dalston: Dalston Junction is four stops from Shoreditch High Street for the City and two stops from Highbury & Islington and the Victoria line for the West End. Dalston Kingsland is on the old North London line with trains to Stratford and Hampstead Heath.

The bus services include: No 30 to Marble Arch, the No 38 to Victoria, No 67 to Aldgate, the 76 and 243 to Waterloo, the 149 to London Bridge and 242 to Tottenham Court Road.
